Buck's Pocket State Park - Creek Floor to Point Rock Trail
Steep but not a difficult trail with beautiful scenery; 1.25 miles at Buck's Pocket State Park.

North Alabama Birding Trail
The North Alabama Birding Trail (NABT) is a project being developed by TVA plus several partners including North Alabama Tourist Association, Decatur/Morgan County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, Florence/Lauderdale Tourism, Colbert County Tourism, and the Marshall County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau. The North Alabama Birding Trail will consist of 41 birding sites located in northern Alabama, with Guntersville/Marshall County having 11 sites listed.



Lake Guntersville State Park - Cascade Trail
Follows a natural woodshed with large boulders, pools, cliffs and wild azaleas. Access at 35 mph sign just inside park entrance on the back side of the Nature Trail across from the lodge; follow the blue markings; 1 mile.



Lake Guntersville State Park - Cutchenmine Trail
About 2.5 miles one way (not a through trail); orange blazes.



Lake Guntersville State Park - Lickskillet Trail
Old Indian path parallels Town Creek in the Lake Guntersville State Park area; about 3 miles total; orange blazes.



Lake Guntersville State Park - Spring Trail
Connects 2 legs of the Tom Bevill Trail. Goes by an old Indian spring that flows even in dry weather; follow blue markings; .25 miles.



Lake Guntersville State Park - Tom Bevill Trail
Begins at Lake Guntersville State Park, circles Ellenburg Mountain. Has old home sites (see brochure available in park office); 3 miles; orange blazes.



Primitive Campground Trail
Easy 3 mile trail from Buck's Pocket to Morgan's Cove; follows South Sauty Creek with a primitive campground halfway.



Lake Guntersville State Park - Water Trail
May be entered from back side of Nature Trail at Lodge or from Park road. A small waterfall is present during times of sufficient rainfall. Wild azaleas and cliffs. Moderate; follow yellow markings; about .75 miles.



Lake Guntersville State Park - Town Creek Multipurpose Trail Hiking Trail
Bicycle Trail

(Work in progress) The goal is to go completely around Town Creek. Between 20 and 30 miles of trail will be built and maintained for the duration of the Park. It is a completely volunteer project from Mountain Bikers, Horse Back Riders, to Hikers and outdoor enthusiast. For more information (256)572-1805
