- Apply sunscreen 1/2 hour before going out
- Reapply every two hours
- Avoid direct sun between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm
- Use a broad spectrum sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays
- Use generous amounts covering every inch of exposed skin
- Even cloudy days have dangerous UV rays
- Use a minumum SPF of 15 unless you burn easily or have a family history of skin cancer
- Newer products come in lighter gels and sprays
