0 miles from Lake Guntersville
Beautiful two-story chalet lovingly kept by owners who live here themselves during parts the year. Classic, upper scale furnishings and decor includes a number of antiques. At the breakfast table enjoy watching the sun rise over the lake through your kitchen's picture window. Or if you prefer, dine out on the large deck, at a 6-seat glass table protected by a huge adjustable umbrella. Modern amenities. Handicap accessible throughout the first floor; an attractively constructed ramp provides easy access to the side (kitchen) door, with no stairs! In the main living room area watch large-screen HD cable TV with premium channels from the comfort of a plush, comfy couch, arm chairs or overstuffed recliner... or use the DVD player and VCR/VHS player that are also provided (all with remotes). Huge, tall windows (extending to the ceiling) give a very open effect, allowing in plenty of sunshine and a nice view. WI-Fi is provided throughout the house, as well as land-line phone service with free long distance (in the U.S.). Enjoy viewing the flowers in the manicured garden areas and decorative flower boxes (in season). On rainy days make use of the diverse collection of books, games & videos/DVDs. The kitchen has an ice maker in the freezer, electric can opener, high-power microwave, coffee maker, full-size oven & stove with 4 eyes, dishwasher, garbage disposal and filtered water; plus all the needed pots, pans, utensils, dishware, and other amenities one would need for cooking, baking, or to just keeping the "grazing" food coming. Master bedroom suite is downstairs, with beautifully restored and comfy queen bed, ceiling fan and large antique German schrank. Master bath has a full size countertop at the sink, and a shower. Toilet area and the shower are equipped with sturdy handicap handrails. The laundry room has a full sized washer and dryer. Included in the laundry room is an extra deep-freezer. Go up the stairway (decorated with art and interesting photographs) to the upper level for access to the second bath and two more bedrooms. One upper bedroom has a comfy and decorative double bed, ceiling fan, and walk-out balcony with a beautiful overlooking view of the lake, grounds, and lower marina. Two chest-of-drawer sets and a completely mirrored closet provide more than ample storage space. The bathroom has a traditional bathtub/shower combination and another single sink with ample countertop space. The remaining bedroom has a single bed, small chest of drawers, and an additional HD TV with all the same cable channels as the main entertainment system, plus another DVD player (all with remotes). This room also has a window AC unit provided as an option in case someone in your party is a bit more hot-natured. All furnishings are carefully coordinated, in good condition and very attractive. A fenced-in back yard allows the little ones (or small pets) to play freely, with a gate for easy access. Sit back and enjoy the surrounding wooded serenity on the rock patio that is just outside the back door -- along with a gas bar-b-que grill and two propane tanks. A fire pit alongside the house provides for fun evening hours roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, or just telling ghost stories -- or maybe just a little quiet time spent alongside the fire with someone special. Just beyond the garden area at the side of the house is a fully wooded, wild area belonging to the TVA (so there will never be any structures built on it). Watch for rabbits, squirrels, deer, raccoons, and sometimes even an occasional shy fox to come out and have a look around -- especially in the early morning hours. Lightening bugs light up the evening, as well. Smoke alarms and fire extinguishers inside help assure safety. Fully carpeted (including the stairway) except for bathrooms and kitchen. Free boat ramps within five minutes in both directions ensure convenient access to the lake and river. A well stocked Dollar General store just across the highway from this subdivision makes for great convenience, as well as two nearby gas stations (which also sell fishing supplies and bait). The large two-car driveway on a small, private street (no other houses on it) also allows for parking of a third or even fourth additional car or a boat and trailer. Relaxing, quiet, very comfortable, and convenient to all the parks, amenities, establishments and services of Guntersville and Albertville. Should you also want to check out a larger city, historic Huntsville is an easy drive (no turns), less than 30 minutes from the front door. Come enjoy this gem!
