Tuscumbia Pays Tribute to America’s “First Lady of Courage”
Each year the town of Tuscumbia pays tribute to one of its heroic natives with a six-day celebration attracting thousands of visitors from across the country. The annual Helen Keller Festival celebrates the life of Helen Keller and her remarkable achievements in overcoming a world of silence. The 38th annual event is set for June 2020 in Spring Park in downtown Tuscumbia.
Cemetery tours, a parade and street party, live music featuring the Atlanta Rhythm Section and Phil Vassar, an arts and crafts show, sporting events and activities for children are all on the agenda for the six-day celebration.

Gates open at 6:30 pm for a free tour of the home and grounds with ticket.
